Training Oman’s young engineers
27 October 2014Throughout this year we’ve been working with Oman’s Public Authority of Civil Aviation to train its next generation of aviation engineers.
Groups of young Omanis, working at Muscat and Salalah airports, have been receiving specialist training in our air traffic college in Fareham, Hampshire.
It’s been great to have such enthusiastic students, and a pleasure to be playing our part in the huge investment Oman is making in its people and technology as it transforms its aviation infrastructure.
We spoke to Yaquob Al Mahruqi, an aviation systems engineer, about his time in the UK and what his new ‘Air Traffic Safety Electronic Personnel’ qualification will mean for him.
