A new regulatory approach for Drones?
25 September 2015Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS) or “drones” are now well established in the public consciousness. Safety agency EASA has launched a public consultation on their new regulatory framework, which will enable drone operators greater access to the airspace used by manned aviation.
NAMEUR comes to Dublin
22 September 2015The NAMEUR Task Force arrives in Dublin, Ireland for the event which runs from 29th September to 1st October 2015, with NATS once again co-chairing alongside United Airlines.
Scottish Airshow says goodbye to the Avro Vulcan
9 September 2015The Scottish Airshow made a welcome return in 2014 following a 22 year absence, with more than 120,000 visitors casting their eyes across an impressive range of aircraft and waving a fond farewell to the Vulcan that now goes into retirement.
The Middle East’s aviation industry is one of the most dynamic and exciting anywhere in the world, but challenges around airspace management remain. In order for those challenges to be solved and the region’s industry to realise its full potential, airspace – the invisible but critical infrastructure – must be considered an economic asset. It is to that end that NATS commissioned Oxford Economics to assess the benefits improvements in air traffic control can deliver for the region’s economy.

28 July 2015The CEOs of five of Europe’s largest airlines have recently come together to lobby the European Commission for reforms. One of the calls made by the CEOs was for the Commission to address the slow pace on delivering the Single European Sky.
Last weekend saw the Royal International Air Tattoo, or ‘RIAT’, celebrate air power from around the world and the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, with a stunning three day airshow.
